Lectures are held at the Sovereign Suite at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Shrewsbury SY2 6ST. Lectures begin at 2.00pm promptly, with the exception of July and August (no meeting) and December which starts at 11am followed by our Celebratory Lunch (Christmas lecture).

Lectures last about an hour; a light lunch is available (for a small charge) before the lecture from 12.15pm and free tea and coffee are available after the lecture.  This gives members an opportunity to meet and to book for our other events. There is plenty of parking at the club.

Please check both the date and start time for the Christmas lecture as these may vary.

We use Zoom for the majority of our lectures for members who are unable to attend in person.  A link is sent two days before each lecture - it changes each time so you will need to watch out for it. However the purpose of our Society is social as well as educational and we would hope that as many people as possible will attend in person.

Special Interest Days are held in a different location and usually attract up to 60 people. There is a supplementary charge for Special Interest Days and all members wishing to attend should look at the Study Day page of this website for detailed information and to see how to book.
