The Society aims to provide opportunities to learn more about all aspects of the arts. Our aim is to give members the opportunity to make friends with people who have similar artistic interests, as well as providing the opportunity for members to enjoy stimulating and interesting lectures, Special Interest Days and outings which will increase their knowledge and understanding of the Arts.

The Arts Society Shrewsbury is actively promoting arts initiatives for people across Shropshire through its Arts Volunteering programme, in particular through its thriving Young Arts Programme.

The Society is run by a committee of volunteers who welcome feedback and ideas as they endeavour to keep the Society's programme of events vibrant and varied. The Chair, Jill Robinson, and the committee would be pleased to hear from any member who would be interested in helping with the running of the Society.
